* Examine/dissect several "private parts" of different plants:
  concepts: pollination strategies, interdependence (mutualism)
  - flowers (milkweed, sunflower, aster, goldenrod, grasses):
    flower parts, compound vs. simple
  - buds (flowers and leaves)
  - catkins (well, are they flowers or not?)
  - seeds (honey locust. sunflower, acorns, cones)
  - mushrooms/ferns: sex life of a spore

* Other things:
  concepts: parasitism
  - galls: flower, leaf, branch galls.
  - look for wasps/flies/weevils/miners
  - witches brooms, twigs for leaf scars, bud scale scars.

* Slides or other visual aids:
  pictures of flower parts, mycelium, spores
