Examine flowers/fruit along the way. * Take soil sample and examine hydric soil. Smell: slow decomposition. Bring sample back to lab. * Collect invertebrates at 2 places: along lake for still water and Willoway for moving water critters. Bring back to lab. * Take cattail samples, including stems and spikes. Look for sac spider egg case in leaf; cattail moth caterpillars in spike. Species identification: T. latifolia, T. angustifolia. * Start walk back at twilight, look for nocturnal animals.
